Dave grew up in the Venersborg area, and started his career in the fire service with the District in 1987 as a volunteer. After high school, he attended and graduated from Oregon Health Sciences University's Paramedic Education Program. He went to work in Las Vegas, NV first as a field medic with American Medical Response and later as a Flight Medic for Air REACT. In 2000, Dave returned to Clark County and was the Assistant Director of North Country EMS. In 2005, Dave returned to Fire District 3 to lead their Emergency Medical Services Program.
Currently he serves as a Battalion Chief overseeing a shift. Other responsibilities include EMS program management, facilities maintenance, and public education.
Dave has his Bachelor's of Science in Health Care Administration along with being a Washington and Nationally registered Paramedic.
Dave lives in north Clark County with his wife and two daughters.
